Is it just me or are oversized buttons/snaps being used on shoes more and more these days? They seem be the new “it” accessory for shoes. I’ve been seeing them in all my favorite stores and online shopping sites. And you can’t help but to appreciate and be drawn to its girlish appeal that has somehow morphed itself into a high fashion accent. Bruno Frisoni’s Patent Flats are a great example of this. I cannot think of a time when feathers were used on any piece of clothing or accessory to create something extraordinary. The two images that immediately come to my mind is the swan dress that Sergio Rossi’s Ankle Strap Slides into a more fashionable state. I need more than feathers and clusters of beads to make me part with $1250. Beyond the feathers, this seems to be an overpriced pair of simple pointy slides.


This has to be one of the more low-key designs by the notorious and outrageous Betsey Johnson. With the exception that they have a texture cork body, they are actually pretty normal looking shoes. Shoes that you could actually wear to work or for going out. The Jordan Pumps feature an open round toe with 4″ heels and a light padding for a hint of comfort.
