A cross between something you would find at Delia’s and at Nordstroms. It is hard to say which is more appropriate. Bright yellow seems to be the color of the season this spring. The daffodil bright hue is everywhere. Here we see it on the new Casablanca Bag from Smythson. It’s part of Smythson’s first travel collection. The bag is linen with a yellow calf leather trim with an ostrich print. The bag is lined in yellow fabric and has a leather base with protective feet. Okay, I’m not a man so I can’t write about these Henry Beguelin men’s bags from the angle of “I’d sure love to have one.” But I can say that any guy I see carrying one will score a second glance and bonus fashion points, in my book anyway. Depending on your own personal style, they most likely appeal to earthier types who care about their appearance and want something nice, but also like the comfortable and natural “lived in” look. To me they nicely communicate two things: “I’m successful” and “I’m not stuffy.” Not an entirely easy thing for a bag to do.
