The $150,000 Bentley Knob

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

What could make your Bentley fancier than it already is? How about a diamond and white gold gear shift? A gear company called IcedOutEmz created the amazing jeweled shift, which at $150,000, is nearly as expensive as the Bentley Continental GT which sells for around $165,000. The shift has 30 carats of diamonds and took 100 hours of labor to complete. The gear shift is on display at the company’s headquarters in Las Vegas.

Christian Louboutin Sabotage Haircalf Mules

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

Lipstick red and with a print that would match any of Dolce and Gabbana’s animal print handbags, Christian Louboutin’s Sabotage Haircalf Mules are very sexy shoes for summer. The vampy heels look like something a pinup girl would wear, but are very well made and comfortable. The haircalf upper is lined with soft leather and the insole is padded. Pair with a toned down skirt or pants so you don’t take your outfit too over-the-top. They’re on preorder, but will ship in May. Price: $620.

Nanette Lepore for Keds

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

It looks like Target isn’t the only company out recruiting higher-end designers to attract a broader spectrum of consumers to their normally mid-range products. Nanette Lepore teamed up with Keds to put together a line of stylish, casual shoes and sandals for summer. The shoes are all fun, with whimsical prints that bear Lepore’s signature touch, and with the comfort (and price) of the casual shoe brand. Pictured are the Nanette Lepore Script Print Sandals, which have a feminine print, a medium-size bow and the hint of a heel. …

Devi Kroell Crystal Wooden Clutch, Handbag of the Day

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

From designer Devi Kroell, you can get a clutch that is decidedly different from any you’ll find elsewhere. The Crystal Wooden Clutch is made in Italy of smooth, high-gloss wood and measures just 5 1/4″ x 3 1/2″ x 1 1/2″. Each clutch snaps closed at the top with a jeweled clasp, which matches the Swarovski crystals embedded in the body of the clutch. The arrangement of the crystals varies and the three finishes are Ebony, Nut and Ebony-Hamptons Edition (pictured). Price: $1390.

Marc Jacobs Patchwork Mariah, Handbag of the Day

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

Louis Vuitton might have the most expensive, and certainly the most original-looking, patchwork bag of the season, but that doesn’t make patchwork itself an original idea this spring. Marc Jacobs is using a lot of patchwork, albeit in a more monochromatic way than LV. The Marc Jacobs Patchwork Mariah is an accordion-style bag with three compartments and is made of shiny, white leather triangles. All of the hardware, including the chain strap and front lock closure, is gold-tone. The bag measures 10.25″x 9″x 1.5″. Price: $1,475.
