Introducing a twist to the classic basket weave summer tote, Kate Spade used patent leather for the weave in her Sao Paolo Small Coal Tote. The rose cut is one of the older diamond cuts, it came into being in the 16th century when diamonds were polished using diamond dust. It has a flat bottom and a faceted top that rises to a point, making them dramatically different from the modern brilliant cut which has a flat table on the top, a faceted crown and a pointed pavilion underneath.
