Dasher & Dancer Purse, Handbag of the Day

Friday, May 18th, 2012

This purse is a two-in-one deal. Made in Brazil of soft washed leather, the Dasher & Dancer Purse actually consists of a large shoulder bag and a much smaller one that are held together by large snaps. When attached, it gives the impression that the smaller bag really just makes up several front pockets on one main bag. When separated, you can simply select the bag that best suits your needs: small for going out in the evening and large for shopping/errands during the day. The purse would be a wonderful accessory on a vacation, where you …

Salvatore Ferragamo Mink-Trimmed Hobo, Handbag of the Day

Friday, May 18th, 2012

Salvatore Ferragamo makes handbags that have a classic appeal with a touch of funk and creativity. Using refined brown & gray wool and accented (not sparingly enough in my opinion) with chocolate colored mink, their Mink Trimmed Hobo may have been created with too much funk and not enough classic. It’s bad to say but, it really looks like they stuffed an animal in there and squeezed till the fur came popping through the bag. I normally love the products from Salvatore Ferragamo, but this one just doesn’t do it. A saving grace is the shape. I find …

The actress sold off more than 100 pieces of her impressive collection, gathered during her six year marriage to Revlon tycoon Ron Perelman. The sale surpassed estimates bringing in $20.3 million. Jewelry designer Stephen Dweck is celebrating his 25th anniversary this year and, in honor of the occasion, he has released a new collection of one-of-a-kind pieces at Bergdorf Goodman. The pieces include necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets, all with semi-precious stones, as well as a variety of pearls and diamonds. The settings are primarily done in silver and yellow gold. Almost every piece, including the bronze-set blue Topaz Ring ($3,375) pictured here, has Dweck’s signature 18-karat yellow gold beetle with pavé diamonds affixed to it. …

Forever Young Cufflinks

Friday, May 18th, 2012

Ordinarily, you might not associate cufflinks with something really fun or whimsical, but the Forever Young Cufflinks are just that. They look quite similar to the iconic Legos blocks, so they’ll probably impress your kids in addition to getting a few smiles out of your coworkers when you wear them in to the office. Unlike the real blocks, you can’t stack them, so while they can be an icebreaker at a meeting, they can’t keep you from getting bored while listing several hours of presentations. They are available in one of 13 different colors, all with sterling silver backings. Price: $150.
